Support Youth & Families

District 10 is one of the last places in San Francisco where families are still putting down roots. But rising costs and limited opportunities are making it harder for young people and families to build a future here.

We will invest in strong public schools, support teachers and school staff, and expand access to after-school programs, mentorship, and enrichment opportunities. We will strengthen pathways from early education through college and careers so young people have clear opportunities to succeed.

We will expand youth employment programs that provide paid experience, income, and career exposure, especially for low-income youth, many of whom help support their families.

Supporting families also means supporting stability across generations. We will expand access to childcare, mental health services, and culturally competent family supports, while investing in programs that help families build and retain generational wealth.

We will also invest in seniors and intergenerational programs that reduce isolation, strengthen community ties, and ensure residents can age with dignity in the communities they helped build.
