Safety is about more than enforcement; it is about stability, opportunity, and trust. We will invest in community-based safety strategies that prioritize prevention, de-escalation, and long-term solutions.

This includes expanding violence prevention programs, supporting reentry services, and strengthening partnerships with trusted, community-rooted organizations that serve youth, families, and individuals at risk of harm.

At the same time, we recognize the role of law enforcement in keeping communities safe. We will support a well-trained, properly staffed police department that is accountable to the community, prioritizes de-escalation, and builds trust through transparency and engagement.

We will work to ensure officers are connected to the communities they serve, while strengthening oversight and accountability systems so public safety works for everyone.

Clean and well-maintained neighborhoods are a fundamental part of public safety. We will ensure District 10 receives its fair share of city services, including street cleaning, trash removal, and maintenance, so every community is safe, dignified, and cared for.
